An electric automotive manufacturer came to Ahaus with a tough project needing custom clamping to properly brace the battery box. The team at Ahaus had several internal meetings to determine the best way to hold the part, using SolidWorks and FEA testing to design a knuckle fixture that would not allow the part to flex out of tolerance.
In the end, two Ahaus team members designed a custom clamping device to hold the part in place on the fixture, allowing for high-quality parts with quick turn around and repeatability.
